In 2019 we lost our son Niko.

Niko was a twin with his rainbow brother K.
It was incredibly hard progressing through the pregnancy with the grief of loosing Niko alongside the anticipation, fear of loosing and excitement of meeting K. I also started to become really concerned with how I even begin to explain to K that he had a brother.
Once K had arrived safely, a lovely lady named Fiona suggested I tell K a story about our journey. I wanted Niko to be a part of our daily routine and so I decided to create a children’s story to include both my boys in bedtime and help Kian grow up knowing and loving his brother.
I hope this book series will also help other parents going through similar journeys as much as it has helped us begin to heal.

I graduated from Loughborough University in 2018 with a degree in Graphic Communication and Illustration and I’m now a freelance illustrator, based in the Midlands.
Children’s picture books have always been an important part of my life! Some of my fondest memories as a child involve visits to the local library, where I would happily spend time sitting and looking through the vast range of picture books. I believe that whatever your age may be, in a world where life can sometimes feel hard to deal with, illustrations and stories are one thing that can provide some much needed escapism and can transport you to a different world for a while. My main goal as an illustrator is to create artwork that provides people with a sense of comfort, happiness and a little bit of escapism!
